365 - Day 9: February 2, 2011 Tyler Was Right

Small cars and snow drifts do not mix. I tried to ignore this fact, but quickly realized I wouldn't be arriving at The Mall of Monroe anytime soon. *Sigh*

Being defeated sucks. Being safe does NOT. Admitting when you're wrong is a good thing. While it's not always easy, it's the right thing to do.

365 - Day 8: Typical Tuesday

I've spent quite a bit of time in this doctor's office the last few months. I made a commitment to myself toward the end of last year to take better care of myself. While there is still significant room for improvement, I have already made a positive impact on my life.

Go me!

365 - Day 7: Monday, Monday ...

So good to me ...

My new ring. O is for Osterman. Heh!

I love my job. More about this ring later.

Project 365 - Day 6: College Prep

Speaking of my little hacker ... Joshua is interested in getting his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science; Game Software Development. He's so excited about that career he's already requesting information from colleges! Go Josh! Here he is sporting his free t-shirt from Baker College.

I have no doubt in my mind that Joshua would excel at this profession. He has immense technical knowledge that he's gained on his own and he's very passionate about the way the games work, as opposed to just playing them. I pray he keeps that thirst for knowledge and passion for design. It certainly could lead to exciting things for him!

Project 365 - Day 5: January 29, 2011 - We've Finally Joined the PS3 Generation

Since Christmas I have spent a great deal of time watching Tyler and the kids play PS3. They're all very happy about the addition to the family.

The PS3 has also been a source of controversy though. Josh likes to hack. Hacking is cheating. It's REALLY NOT okay with Tyler. Josh doesn't understand our decision. He's coming to terms with it though! Thankfully!

Project 365 - Day Four: January 28, 2011 - Another 12 Hour Day At Work

Thursday I spent some time rearranging the backroom of my store. Friday morning when I was getting ready for work I was texting with one of my assistants about the changes.

I always work open to close on Fridays. Spending 12 hours at the store, I didn't really accomplish much else.

I am very fortunate to have an awesome team. I spend a great deal of time communicating with them via text. I adore the convenience of it!

Counting My Blessings: 365 - Day 3

Today I spent most of my waking hours at "work". I love my job and have accomplished many great things with my team in the 19 months I have been in Monroe, Michigan!

Time to Write the Schedules: 365 - Day Two

My day started at 5:30am, much earlier than normal. I'm very thankful that I don't have to do that everyday! I can handle it occasionally for a business meeting though and was ready to go when my ride pulled in the driveway at 7am. I was back home by 11:30am. After a phone call to my boss and another one to one of the girls that works for me, I attempted to finalize the schedules for the next two weeks. Attempted, but failed.

What I did accomplish is a 2½ hour nap, give Josh a ride to his dad's house, made a quick trip to the liquor store and then had dinner with my husband at a local diner, got an extra hug and kiss from Justine when she showed up to get her blankie, then I went tanning, picked up 100+ boxes of Girl Scout cookies and chatted with my sister-in-law for about an hour.

The schedules are still staring at me ... ahhhhh, pretty soon I guess I'll have to face my responsibilities. ;-)

Project 365 - Day One

Those of you that know me well, know how much I enjoy taking pictures. So much so, that my family jokes when I fail to get a digital snapshot of even the most mundane things. I suppose I'll admit to my picture taking being overkill at times. Perhaps one day they'll grow to appreciate them!

If I'm taking pictures anyways, I decided I might as well follow the lead of my friend, LaLaGirl and take on the challenge of Project 365.

So here it is; Day One. This is typically where I can be found when I'm online. On the couch, using my laptop. Notice the cup of coffee and cell phone nearby.

My day off is over. WHERE did it go? Time continues at warp speed for me.
